We are going to make my play room extra special and I like these ideas. I have lots of different toys but some of them are too little for me and some are ready to get shared with other kids. We have lots of baskets but the shelves are all full of books so we’ll have to work it out. Any other great ideas? http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/LetTheChildrenPlay/~3/HKanflGX33o/be-reggio-inspired-play-materials.html

It is a sunny day so I have to take Mama outside. We decide to walk around the Alaskan Reservoir which is right by our house. We climb up up up. Way up high! Hand please. There are some yummy plants here. They really not ready to eat yet but we will come back.
At the top of the hill we can see the Mountain and the hospital and all the steeples. I run around on the flat field and then I run down the hill. We come out on a grassy slope. Oh, park! Mama says we can walk on the grass so I am storming across the squishy grass in my boots. That is when I see a mushroom. Then another. And another! One two three seven eight! All them! When we are outside we don’t touch mushrooms unless we have our special mushroom knife. So I use my naturalist eyes. Here some! Here some. Different. More mushrooms. Little mushrooms. Brown.
There are more treasures in the grass. Mama! Yellow flowers! Pick okay! I fill up my hands with happy dandelions. Some are up the hill and some are down, so I hop like an Easter bunny to catch them all.
We are almost home. A big dog jumps up on his fence. Dog bark. Mama, dog is barking. That’s enough, dog.
One of the best things about my white house is that I have a big back yard. So far it has been too yucky outside to spend a long time out there but this week some spring happened. Mama was digging because there were some blackberry plants. They are the wrong kind of blackberries and there is nothing yummy on them. I was watching all the creatures.
I have one two three seven eight ants by my stump. I have two ladybugs in my grass. I have one two five six worms in my dirt. I put on my naturalist eyes and watch their tiny legs and mouths and tails. Ladybug I like hold it. Red. Fly away.
This story is from my friend Kami. She is almost as one as me and she has more hair. We will play soon! http://kamilouwho.blogspot.com/2013/03/snack.html
I drive my stroller really fast up to sixth Ave. Mama has to run to keep up with me. I see a squirrel but no kitty cats. Where kitty cat go? Mama says maybe we will see one soon but we don’t ever see one.
On the way home I find this park. It is Ferry Park and it is the oldest park in Tacoma. I climb up and down. Wet wet slide. Go down. I don’t go down. No.
I am balancing on the rim around the park. Jump down. Run down the hill! Get back up. Help. Help please Mama.
We look at the pictures of the children protecting the park with signs and playing in a pool long ago. A guy picks up trash. I help. Then I get in my stroller and drive back to the white house.
I have been practicing my birthdays. I am ready for Uncle Brendan’s surprise party! I wake up Aydan to come make cards with me. She is grumpy from sleeping but she feels better when she gets her party jumper on. We are hugging and holding tight on my Mama. We are also doing cute fuuny things and Auntie Kim takes pictures of us. If you saw the one on Facebook where she is choking me, it was hilarious. We are gentle together but we are pretty little. Sometimes we are crazy for fun.
We jump out and say Surprise! Aydan seems to know what’s going on here. I am a little confused so I follow her lead. I see Uncle Brendan and give him a big hug! Happy birthday! I eat candy. Some I share with Aydan but mostly I eat it up. Red candy. More please. Blow candles! When cake comes I pick strawberry and I eat it all. And chips. It’s okay, I ate my hamburger first. There are lots of kids here. I run around until way past my bed time. It is amazing. Everything is funnier when you are supposed to be sleeping.
