Mama Songs

A Day in the Life

We are playing together on the rugs, me and Cami and Anna. Our mamas talk a lot, but it’s okay because we get lots of milk. Anna’s mama says a rhyme about little birds going to bed and waking up. Cami’s mama sings a German bouncing song. My Mama sings Sto Mi Je Milo, my Macadonian folk song, and then she sings my Ship in the Night lullabye. When our mamas sing, Cami and Anna and I listen very carefully. When we leave, I wave bye bye and blow kisses to my friends. Tonight I can see Easton too. I have lots of friends today!
